{"id":3288,"date":"2012-03-06T15:11:03","date_gmt":"2012-03-06T13:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/?p=3288"},"modified":"2012-03-06T15:11:03","modified_gmt":"2012-03-06T13:11:03","slug":"ipad-3-or-ipad-hd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/blog\/ipad-3-or-ipad-hd\/","title":{"rendered":"iPad 3 or iPad HD?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After last weeks announcement that there have been 25 billion <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/2011\/12\/pricecheck-unveils-barcode-scanner-app-for-the-apple-iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">app<\/a> downloads on both the iPhone and iPad, it is no wonder that tomorrow is a day that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=Apple\" target=\"_blank\">Apple<\/a> fans have been looking forward to for a while.\u00a0 Tomorrow sees the official unveiling of the third generation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=Apple+iPad\" target=\"_blank\">iPad<\/a>.\u00a0 Normally Apple plays coy and sets no expectations to their product launches but this time they have not done so:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/Apple-iPad-3-announcement.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3289\" title=\"Apple iPad 3 announcement\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/Apple-iPad-3-announcement.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have something you really have to see. And touch&#8221;. The media invitation, shown above\u00a0 has caused a great deal of rumor construction. Is the home button no longer on the device? Is Siri going to be on this new device? Will the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=Apple+iPad\" target=\"_blank\">new iPad<\/a> be called the iPad 3 or iPad HD? Will this new device make coffee and do your email? OK, I made that last one up but I am expecting something big as the iPad is steadily becoming the most important device for Apple and humanity.<\/p>\n<p>The 2 things that I am expecting on this new device is a retina display (as seen on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=Apple+iPhone+4\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 4 <\/a>and\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=Apple+iPhone+4S\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 4S<\/a>) and a more powerful processor. Until Tim Cook officially unveils the device everything is pure speculation which I don&#8217;t believe is necessary.
