Leading global bicycle<\/a> manufacturer Trek has revealed its new range of electric bicycles, diving into the e-bike market with a number of models.<\/p>\n

The new Powerfly<\/strong> range of electric-assisted bikes give those who need a little<\/em> more oomph some assistance for the rugged terrain out there, using a 500Wh Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system to derive its power.<\/p>\n

The battery is housed in the downtube of the frame, so there’s no obstruction and extra bulk on the body of the bike.<\/p>\n

The frames themselves have also featured upgrades from the standard Trek bikes, with more robust forks and 4-piston brakes being the most eye-catching of the improvements, along with tougher tyres. The whole range also uses Bosch Performances CX motors specifically designed for more rugged, off-road use.<\/p>\n

The line, which features bikes ranged from R65,000-R80,000<\/strong>, comes in a few models depending on how spec\u2019d out an individual wants their bike to be, and you can find the full range with more insightful breakdowns here<\/a> at their site.<\/p>\n
