{"id":21964,"date":"2018-05-07T01:18:35","date_gmt":"2018-05-06T23:18:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/?p=21964"},"modified":"2018-05-07T01:20:26","modified_gmt":"2018-05-06T23:20:26","slug":"fitbit-adds-a-more-affordable-smartwatch-option-with-the-versa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/blog\/fitbit-adds-a-more-affordable-smartwatch-option-with-the-versa\/","title":{"rendered":"Fitbit Adds a More Affordable Smartwatch Option with the Versa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search?search=smartwatch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smartwatch<\/a> market has been filling up with some alluring entries from big-name brands, but many of them still lack the functionality of high-end fitness trackers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search?search=fitbit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fitbit<\/a>&#8216;s new Versa model aims to give consumers exactly that: a smartwatch with all the connectivity functions, along with the bells and whistles needed to be a viable workout and training companion, not to mention coming in at a fair price-point.<\/p>\n<p>The Versa&#8217;s functionality is in line with that of the company&#8217;s other popular watch, the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search?search=fitbit+ionic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ionic<\/a>, but features a different design and more attractive price-tag<strong>. <\/strong>The Versa also runs the latest version of FitBit\u2019s OS, which is version 2.0, so it allows for smartphone notifications, the \u201cFitBit Today\u201d feature, as well as storing music on the device.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21965\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fitbit-Versa-2.jpg\" alt=\"Fitbit Versa 2\" width=\"992\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fitbit-Versa-2.jpg 992w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fitbit-Versa-2-300x169.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fitbit-Versa-2-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 992px) 100vw, 992px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The only feature the <strong>Versa <\/strong>compromises on is the inclusion of an onboard GPS system, so tracking data regarding positioning for runs will be approximate and not as accurate as a device with onboard GPS.
