But, what you probably do have time for is to spruce up a batch of shop-bought chocolate Easter eggs &#8211; because even Martha Stuart takes shortcuts sometimes! For this sweet take on the classic Eggs and Soldiers breakfast dish, Katelyn from <a href=\"http:\/\/thekatetin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Kate Tin<\/a> shows us how a quick and easy\u00a0home-made caramel sauce and a batch of\u00a0Shortbread biscuits can turn basic chocolate Easter eggs into pure deliciousness.<\/p>\n<h3>MILLIONAIRE\u2019S SHORTBREAD EASTER EGGS<\/h3>\n<p>Makes 8<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n6-8 hollow chocolate Easter Eggs (try and get ones with the best-quality chocolate you can find!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salted Caramel Filling<\/strong><br \/>\n150g salted butter<br \/>\n150g Natura Sugars Soft Light Brown Sugar<br \/>\n150ml cream<br \/>\n40g good-quality milk chocolate, chopped<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shortbread Dippers<\/strong><br \/>\n200g salted butter, softened<br \/>\n100g Natura Sugars Demerara Icing Sugar, sifted<br \/>\n200g cake flour<br \/>\n100g cornflour<br \/>\nNatura Sugars Golden Caster Sugar, for sprinkling<\/p>\n<p><b>METHOD:<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\nUsing a small sharp knife, cut the tops off the chocolate eggs (you can go ahead and eat the tops \u2013 we won\u2019t be needing them).<\/p>\n<p>To make the salted caramel filling, place the butter and sugar in a saucepan and place over a low heat. Simmer for 8 minutes until the sugar caramelises and just starts smoking. Add the cream gradually while whisking. Stir in the milk chocolate and whisk until smooth. Allow to cool completely.<\/p>\n<p>To make the shortbread, cream the butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour and cornflour and mix to form a soft dough. Press the shortbread into a greased and lined square 20cm baking tin. Prick the base with a fork and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes or until just golden brown. Sprinkle the shortbread with caster sugar as soon as it comes out the oven. Cut into fingers while still hot.<\/p>\n<p>To assemble, fill the chocolate eggs with the caramel sauce.
