With everything from big-name sequels and indie titles to new IP blockbusters, there\u2019s something for everyone. But in the spirit of highlighting the biggest and most exciting games coming in 2018, here\u2019s our most anticipated:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>CRACKDOWN 3<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Release date: 2018 (Xbox One, PC)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crackdown<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> series has produced a cult-like fan-base among Xbox gamers. The franchise follows The Agency, who deploy a cybernetic police-force in crime-ridden cities to take down the bad guys using some pretty nifty gadgets, guns and incredible superhuman abilities. The third instalment was shown off at Gamescom 2015, and it really came in with a bang. Fully destructible environments, multiplayer, and a massive city are only some of the incredible features that await us in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crackdown 3<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.An exciting element of Crackdown 3 is that the game will take advantage of the Xbox One\u2019s cloud computing feature, to up the processing power of the console and capabilities of what can happen in the game. Yeah, it has been delayed once or twice, but a 2018 release is certain at this point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20657\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image1-2.jpg 800w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image1-2-300x169.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image1-2-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>GOD OF WAR<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Release date: Q1 2018 (PS4)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s official \u2013 Kratos is back\u2026 and he has a son. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God of War<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is getting a reboot, although this time the game is wrapped up in some intriguing Norse lore, rather than Greek mythology, featuring Kratos with a beard and brutal war axe. The game will revolve around Kratos\u2019 relationship with his son, Charlie, who players will also be able to take control of. The gameplay we\u2019ve seen so far won\u2019t be unfamiliar to fans of past <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God of War<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> games, but refreshingly different too. Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Days Gone<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter who has to use his former biker days to gain an edge in a world where survival is the only option. It looks gorgeous and the sheer volume of zombies on-screen gets us excited to what the game has in store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20659\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image6.png 800w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image6-300x169.png 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image6-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>SPIDER-MAN<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Release date: TBA (PS4)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve had a few Spidey games in recent years, but they\u2019ve always been tied-in to film releases; and we\u2019re craving an adventure that really explores Spider-Man\u2019s villain roster and one that takes the story to new places. Thankfully, the latest venture from Insomniac Games, the team behind <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ratchet and Clank<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunset Overdrive<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who\u2019ve proved time and again they can make fast-paced action games with interesting movement mechanics, are in charge of Spidey\u2019s web-slinging antics. To be honest, not too much is known about <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Dead Redemption 2<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as Rockstar have been pretty tight-lipped, but based on the initial trailer, we can expect a far larger world, more characters, gorgeous visuals, and a compelling story \u2014 things we\u2019ve come to expect from Rockstar Games.
