LCD televisions will account for 33 percent of the global TV market this year, up from 21 percent in 2006, according to Lehman Brothers. LCD TVs will overtake glass-tube sets as the biggest TV technology in 2008, according to DisplaySearch. <\/span><\/p>\n

Because of overproduction LCD TVs have become much cheaper making them affordable alternatives for the classic CRT televisions. Last year it was difficult to find a good LCD TV for a price below R20,000. Currently the prices of those sets are considerably lower. <\/span><\/p>\n
