Two Variants<\/span><\/h3>\n

Huawei unveiled not one but\u00a0two\u00a0<\/em>Mate 9 handsets in Munich. A regular version and a high-end “luxe” version called the “Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 is a limited edition smartphone. Combining Porsche Design\u2019s brand aesthetic with Huawei\u2019s mobile engineering expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 different to the regular version (other than the complicated name)?<\/span><\/p>\n

This variant of the phone has\u00a0a 5.5-inch curved AMOLED display and will be available in only one colour, Graphite Black.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cameras<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Huawei Mate 9 includes a rear-facing dual camera setup that was first introduced in the P9 range.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new second-generation dual-camera setup now includes a 12-megapixel\/F2.2 RGB sensor, a 20-megapixel\/F2.2 monochrome sensor and enhanced image-fusion algorithms. These\u00a0work together to help capture better photographs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The RGB sensor captures true-to-life colours, while the monochrome sensor lets in more light and helps you capture more intricate details and depth. Well, at least that’s what Huawei says.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) solution, the industry\u2019s first dual-camera pixel binning technology, and hybrid zoom. The camera setup also includes a 4-1 Hybrid auto-focus feature. This\u00a0consists of laser focus, phase detection focus, depth focus, and contrast focus.<\/span><\/p>\n
