To be more precise, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/2016\/09\/07\/samsung-are-recalling-the-galaxy-note-7-following-exploding-batteries\/\" target=\"_blank\">the batteries in some S7&#8217;s have been catching fire and exploding.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Now Samsung have released a quick fix in the form of an update which hopes to address the battery problems<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12009\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Exploding-S7-1024x662.png\" alt=\"exploding-s7\" width=\"672\" height=\"434\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Exploding-S7-1024x662.png 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Exploding-S7-300x194.png 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Exploding-S7-768x496.png 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Exploding-S7.png 1176w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 672px) 100vw, 672px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although Samsung did initiate a recall of all Galaxy S7s following the reports of exploding batteries, they have now released an update which they hope will safeguard the remaining S7s out there.<\/p>\n<p>The update will roll\u00a0out on the 19th of September and will prevent the battery from charging beyond 60% which will in turn prevent any overheating to the battery packs. While this is not a viable permanent fix to the problem, it should prevent any further nasty battery fires.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung are currently producing new battery packs that they intend on distributing during a mass exchange programme in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>A massive $26 billion has been cleared from Samsung stocks following the battery issues and the subsequent recall of more than 20 million devices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you haven&#8217;t already heard, Samsung have been having a slight problem regarding their new Galaxy S7.
