The highly-contested battle for the “first-class” mid-range smartphone is raging – and that’s cool for consumers because of the variety of devices that companies are churning out to try and reign supreme. However, this trooper falls short of its competitors; most worrying is the 720p resolution – the majority of its opponents boast 1080p.

When it comes to design, it definitely does stand tall – the borrowed styling of the high-end P8 brings a premium look to the mid-range market.
The camera is great for everyday photos, but it won’t be to the liking of a photography buff; unfortunately, the video recording and playback experience is sub-par to say the least.
The overall performance is a bit disappointing – the advanced functionality that you would find in other mid-range phones seem to be lacking here.
However, it’s affordable and within this price bracket, it’s difficult to find a device as refined as the P8lite.
