Apps on Apple devices are the primary method of getting information or being able to do things on your Apple device. The Apple iPhone 4, iPod touch and iPad all provide multi-tasking but apps will continue to run in the background even when you close them and no longer use them.
This may seem like a basic problem but it can become quite frustrating if you are opening and using multiple apps at one particular time. Instead of having services running in the background that uses resources, end them to allow better resource allocation on your Apple device.
So how do you do this?
Step 1:
Push the home button twice quickly on your Apple device. A multi-task bar will appear at the bottom of the device window that will show all the apps running in the background on your device.
Step 2:
Push and hold your finger on the app icons in the multi-task bar. The apps will then start to jump similar to when you arrange your apps on the home screen. A minus sign will appear on the top left hand corner of the app icons.
Step 3:
If you then push on the minus sign the apps will be terminated. When terminated, the apps will no longer run in the background on the device. To continue terminating apps simply redo the process as mentioned in this step. Push the home button to return your device to normal.
Keep in mind that if you open a terminated app then the entire process needs to be redone.
