While there are some appealing deals floating around at the moment, if you’re looking for any of the below products, you should probably wait a little bit longer to capitalise on the best prices that’ll emerge on Black Friday
Games & consoles
For those of you gamers who can wait a little longer before grabbing your next-gen console, try and not purchase an Xbox Series X/S or a Playstation 5 before Black Friday. Even though they would have just released, its likely that retailers will knock off a couple hundred bucks or even a grand to entice consumers around Black Friday. So, waiting a few weeks from the launch dates could pay off and give you a few extra Rands to pick up a new game alongside your fancy next-gen machine. This also extends to gaming titles, as retailers will undoubtedly include the year (and previous year’s) biggest releases in their sale catalogue.

TVs
One thing Black Friday always delivers on are some good TV deals. If you’ve had your eye on that 65-inch Hisense ULED, or perhaps Samsung’s 55-inch QLED stunner, it’s probably best to keep tabs on the prices of said TVs over the Black Friday period, as TVs tend to see notable discounts during the period. And of course, it’ll make gaming with your new console a whole lot better too!

Smartphone deals are always big during Black Friday. Not only do the more recent flagship devices see a price-cut, but fanastic mid-range and entry-level smartphones are also discounted tremendously. If you’ve been looking at previous Huawei model, an iPhone XR, or one of the Samsung Galaxy models has caught your eye, keep an eye on the smartphone retailers this Black Friday.
