They are in their centenary year of operation and I really cannot imagine any South African household not having any Whirlpool products. What is very interesting to note is that as the years have gone by Whirlpool have added many other manufacturers to their stable. Maytag, Consul, Brastemp, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Bauknecht, Gladiator Garageworks and Amana are all owned by Whirlpool.
In the current economic climate we find ourselves in, any company that has been operating for a century deserves a mention and a massive celebration for all their staff.
