Tennis In New York

0

It is September which means that the US Open is being played. Flushing Meadows in New York is the venue for the last Tennis Major of the year.  Tennis in my mind is about your opponent and how you deal with the crowd. Your opponent will try drop shots, forehands down the line and a backhand cross court and try to be one step ahead. I am not implying that this is like Inception which is about dreams but rather about planning and being strategic. If you can sit and watch a match of either Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer you will see that they do the basics well. So no hitting shots into the net or any other unforced errors will be committed by them. They also the like to put pressure onto their opponents and will always ensure that they return their opponents back – or forehands.

Getting a feeling about the crowd is important for the players. If they feel that the crowd is supporting one player more than another it could motivate them to play better. If the crowd energises a player it could lead to him playing better.

So do you feel that you want to play like Federer?  Then you will need a Wilson racquet, some Nike clothing and a Swiss passport.   Nadal can be replicated (only in attire) by having a Babolat racquet and a Nike sponsorship. Don’t forget the Spanish classes and the fist pump.
