Xiaomi has released two new flagship Android smartphone devices in SA as part of the Xiaomi 12T Series, namely the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro.
The big attraction of the Xiaomi 12T Pro is its pro-grade 200MP primary camera (The Xiaomi 12T features a 108MP camera), along with its improved imaging AI. This includes Xiaomi ProFocus, which provides various composition options to draw out key elements, whether you are looking to highlight the character, create an editorial look or focus on a subject for dramatic effect. The Xiaomi ProCut feature can also identify two different people in a photo and crop the picture accurately into separate photos based on its intelligent aesthetic algorithm.
On top of that, the camera features an Ultra Burst mode to capture 30 photos per second for action shots, as well as Xiaomi’s Night More, which allows users to take clear photos in extreme low-light conditions.
Xiaomi 12T Series devices boast 120W HyperCharge capabilities and 5,000 mAh batteries, giving 13.5 hours of screentime with only 19 minutes of charge time. Xiaomi 12T comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Pro model features 12GBs RAM and 256GBs of space.
There is also an under-screen optical fingerprint sensor on both devices.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is among the first devices to feature the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the 12T non-Pro model features the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset. Both devices include 6.67-inch 120Hz CrystalRes AMOLED displays.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is priced at R16,999 and the Xiaomi 12T at R13,999.
