Apple Unveils New iPhone 4

0

The worst kept secret in the mobile industry was confirmed yesterday when Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone 4. The phone was very similar to the leaked versions seen on various blogs in the last 4 weeks.  The build quality is extraordinary and what makes Apple the company so loved by their users. The Apple iPhone 4 features a new design and is the thinnest smartphone ever made. The phone consists out of Stainless steel for strength and features a glass cover for optical quality which is scratch resistant. My only problem is the glass which potentially will crack when an accident occurs. So maybe also invest in an iPhone cover, to ensure that the phone is protected from shattering when an accident occurs.

The iPhone 4 has a 3.5” display and features 326 pixels per inch which will provide crystal clear images. There is a front facing camera and a camera with an LED flash on the back of the iPhone 4 which will make taking photos and videos very easy. The camera records HD video and built in video editing software will ensure that you can edit your short video clips to perfection.

The iPhone 4 contains the A4 processor as found on the iPad. The one big feature is the ability to use video calling (called Face Time) on the iPhone 4 which has not been available on previous iPhone models. The only problem is that both the caller and the recipient will have to be connected to a Wi-Fi source.

The iPhone OS has been renamed to iOS and provides the iPhone owner the possibility to switch the default search engine to Bing. The iPhone 4 is mooted to be available in September 2010 in South Africa.
