5 Most Exciting Games of June 2018

0

June is here, and we’ve hit the midway point of 2018, and while there’s been a good slew of games already this year, we’ve still got a bunch of exciting titles heading our way. We’ve listed the most anticipated games releasing in June that we’re dying to get our hands on:

Vampyr

Release date: 5 June 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

Vampyr is an action-RPG which puts players in the blood-soaked boots of Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has turned into a vampire during the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918 London. The game features a healthy blend of stealth, shooting, and melee combat, mixed up with some spooky supernatural powers, but you’ll have to take that sacrifice of feeding on innocents in order to achieve new powers; which is completely up to the player. Vampyr looks packed with potential, look great , and has been a longtime in development, so let’s hope this beast has the bite to meet its bark.

Onrush

Release date: 5 June 2018 (Xbox One | PS4)

Offroad racers can be very hit or miss, but Onrush may just be the boost-filled, spectacular stunt-packed game to change that. Dirt and F1 developers Codemasters are behind this one, utilising the developer’s pedigree of excellent racing mechanics with a fun, flamboyant twist. Players can select from a range of cars, bikes, and trucks to go head-to-head in some crazy, hillside environments full of dangers, cliffs to smash your opponents off of, and some massive jumps to pull off some crazy stunts.

Jurassic World Evolution

Release date: 12 June 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

Jurassic World Evolution gives players the task of setting up the new iteration of the iconic (and often disastrous) park, setting up 5 unique sites across the Costa Rican islands – what could go wrong (answer: a lot). Each island will have its own challenges and threats, but with careful management, clever construction, and (inevitably) good crisis control, there should be a lot of fun found in Jurassic World Evolution.

The Crew 2

Release date: 29 June 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

Racing fans are in for a treat this month with The Crew 2, which expands and improves upon the multiplayer-centric racer from 2014. The biggest change, alongside a larger world and spiffier visuals, is that the game adds aerial and boat racing into the mix. That’s right, players can jump from the streets to the skies to the water, all within the same race. If it pays off, it looks to be a lot of fun that’ll please racing fans who are also looking for something with a twist from the usual staples out there.
