The smooth operator aviators

If you thought we’d left aviators behind in the 2010s, then think again – thanks to Tom Cruise and the release of Top Gun: Maverick, 70s-style aviator sunglasses are back in business, and we’re beyond excited about the prospects of adding this staple back into the mix.
Big Cat Energy
Another classic that returns to the fold, cat eye sunglasses are having a big moment. With their extended shape, cat eye styles add a certain Parisian elegance to an outfit; oversized shapes add drama and can elevate even the plainest jeans and tee look; rectangular style sunglasses come via the current Y2K trend, when tiny pink-tinted sunnies were all the rage. They are so chic and timeless and you’re definitely going to want a pair.
Oversized glam
Speaking of oversized sunglasses, those huge sunglasses from the early-aughts are back again. The most iconic style is dark frames, or a pair that has dark lenses, though you could also get away with a pair of lighter-coloured frames with a retro flair. Big frames are so in right now and if Ashley Olsen can still do it, so can we.
Bright and bold
If you want to make a real statement with your sunglasses this summer, then go for bold colours. Colourful, bright sunglasses are youthful and ooze confidence. We’re specifically seeing a lot of rectangular, cat-eye, and round styles in bright colours right now. Pink is definitely trending in a big way right now so opt for pink frames or lenses if you’re up for it. From pale pink to hot pink, it might just be the colour of the season, and we happen to love it for eyewear.
