3 Best Games to Play in August 2018

0

August is here; and with it comes a host of new gaming releases to indulge in. But, of course, this month is a biggie, so we’ve highlighted 3 of the most-anticipated games that we can’t wait to get our hands on:

Overcooked 2

Release date: 7 August 2018 (PS4 | Xbox One | Switch | PC)

Needing something simple yet challenging to get the family or your friends together? Overcooked 2 will do the job. The sequel follows the premise of the first game, which requires players to (or rather attempt to) run a kitchen, but there are catches. Between earthquakes, rats, ghosts, and other bizarre interruptions, players will have to think fast and use teamwork in order to prep the food, get orders out, and make sure their cooking goes on without a hitch.

Strange Brigade

Release date: 28 August 2018 (PS4 | Xbox One | PC)

Inspired by cheesy 1930s horror and adventure movies, Strange Brigade is third-person co-op shooter than puts a heavy emphasis on teamwork. It’s developed by Rebellion, the team behind the acclaimed Sniper Elite series, so similar shooting and traversal mechanics are present, but you can also expect mummified armies, mystical creatures, and a campaign which throws you into some pretty hairy scenarios.
