3 Awesome Games Available on Xbox & PS4

0

There’s a ton of choice when looking at the store shelves and online at the games available currently, so much so, that it can become quite overwhelming. Well, we’ve played and reviewed some of the biggest games out at the moment, and given our thoughts on whether they’re worth tackling this month:

Detroit: Become Human

What’s it on? PS4

If you’re looking for a cinematic, thinking-man’s gaming experience, look no further than Detroit: Become Human. This story-driven, neo-noir thriller explores the complex issues that emerge around androids operating in the world. Detroit: Become Human is less a game than it is an interactive movie, of sorts. That’s not to say it isn’t fun and frantic, though, as players have to make some pretty difficult decisions throughout the course of the story that influence how the whole thing plays out.

Injustice 2: Legendary Edition

What’s it on? PS4 | Xbox One | PC

Want to know who would win between Superman and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat? Injustice 2 can grant exactly that wish. The Legendary Edition of 2017’s superhero-pummelling fighting game adds all the DLC characters released up to this point, including 10 extra DLC characters, such as Darkseid, Red Hood, Raiden (of Mortal Kombat), along with Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you know, just to spice things up. For owners of Injustice 2, there’s not too much more here for you, but thankfully, the solid mechanics and easy-to-learn fighting system from the base version are all in tact. For combat and superhero fans who’ve been on the fence, this is a must-buy if you’re looking for something to indulge in alone or with some friends at a get-together.

Yakuza 6: Song of Life

What’s it on? PS4

If you’ve ever played Grand Theft Auto and thought: “I wonder what would this be like if it was set in Japan?”, then Yakuza is for you. Yakuza 6: Song of Life delivers a large open-world Tokyo, which you can roam around, fight in, and explore to your heart’s content. The game also does a fantastic job at immersing players in the most dense tale of revenge, betrayal, and family (you know, Yakuza stuff) that the franchise has seen, culminating in an interesting story that dives deeper into protagonist Kazuma Kiryu’s life.
