Puma has been teaming up with a number of brands for some once-off collaborations in past seasons, and this year, the iconic German company has set its sights on photography aficionados, Polaroid, for some truly special editions of their famous runners, the RS-0 and RS-100 editions.

Both models don’t stray too far away from their beloved silhouettes, but but incorporate a strong design and look ripped strait from Polaroid’s trademark colour-scheme.

RS-100

The RS-100 silhouette that has a lot of cues from 80s running shoes in its design – the paneling on the upper (shifting from smooth leather to black mesh), old-school Puma logo, and traditional running shoe foam from back in the day, all lend a more nostalgic vibe to this sneaker. Its also includes splashes of colour on the sole, along with the Polaroid rainbow pattern stretching from heel to toe.

RS-0

The RS-0 is the more modern of the two. It features a one-piece tongueless upper with a stretching collar at the top – both of which are very in-vogue for more modern running and athleisure sneakers right now. The chunkier sole is also very on trend, so the more fashion-conscious sneakerhead is likely to have their eyes on this one. The rainbow motif makes its appearance here, too, streaking its way up the tongue.

The sneaker pack will be available in-store on 8 September 2018, with the RS-100 retailing for R2,899 and the RS-0 sitting with a price-tag of R2,999.
