Home safety in South Africa is big concern for a lot of people, and now there’s something new on the market that could help elevate your home security.
A company called iPatrol have released a mobile sentry bot that patrols your home and alerts you to the presence of intruders.
Following the success of an Indiegogo campaign which raised over three times it’s initial goal, iPatrol INC have unveiled Riley, a personal home robot that will go a long way to keeping your home safer. The tiny robot cruises around your home on a set of tank tracks, using an 5 megapixel HD camera to monitor any activity inside of your home.
Riley is operated using an app from your phone and streams video directly to your device after you have been alerted to any movement inside of your home. There’s also a two-way audio system, allowing you to communicate through Riley to anyone in your home. Riley is charged using a docking station that also can be rotated using a app from your phone, essentially doubling as a CCTV camera.
