Action cameras don’t always come ready for action right out the box, and often require that you buy additional protective casings before they can take a beating. The new Olympus 4K action camera is looking to change that.
The new Olympus Stylus Tough TG – Tracker is in a class of it’s own. Not only does it come with an incredible 204-degree lens, but it also has a variety of other features to help you tackle the great outdoors.
The action camera comes with a built-in GPS radio,a accelerometer built into the camera, barometric pressure sensor, temperature sensor and a compass. Olympus have clearly designed the TG – Tracker with the avid outdoors person in mind.
Put what really sets the camera apart is durability and toughness. Olympus have stated that the camera is dustproof, waterproof up to 100 feet, can withstand up to 220 pounds of force, is shockproof for falls up to 7 feet and is freeze-proof in temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of this is great news for anyone who wants to capture outdoor adventures without having to worry about the potential damage that can occur.
The TG-Tracker will be available in mid-June in the US for around $350. No word on a South African release date yet.
