The newest iPhone is supposedly arriving on S.A shores later this year, and plenty of local Apple fans have been searching the web for any and all available information on the upcoming iPhone 7.
We’ve researched all of the iPhone 7 related news from around the web, and here are all the rumours and news about the new iPhone:
- There will be an earphone jack. One of the most controversial rumours to surface online, following an image leak it appears that the iPhone 7 will in fact be keeping the standard 3.5mm.
- Say goodbye to the home button. The traditional home button found on the button centre of the phone will be replaced by a touch-sensitive pad that sits flush with the screen’s bezel.
- Expect a release later this year. Conventionally Apple reveal a new iPhone every year in early September, with a retail release following shortly afterwards.
- Better photo quality. Although the iPhone 7 will probably stick with the same 12-megapixel camera found in the iPhone 6, there may be a second rear camera lens which will improve focal depth and give better zoom capabilities.
- A change of colour. Are you tired of the conventional iPhone colours? Reports have suggested that Apple may be dropping one of their most iconic colours, Space Grey, in favour for a deeper navy blue colour.
- Bigger base storage. While the base storage for the current iPhone 6 is 16GB, the iPhone 7 is rumoured to have a base storage of twice that at 32GB.
- Four rear speakers. According to leaked images published on a French blog, there appear to be two speaker grilles on the bottom of the phone, and two more on the top.
