iPad 3 or iPad HD?

0

After last weeks announcement that there have been 25 billion app downloads on both the iPhone and iPad, it is no wonder that tomorrow is a day that Apple fans have been looking forward to for a while.  Tomorrow sees the official unveiling of the third generation iPad.  Normally Apple plays coy and sets no expectations to their product launches but this time they have not done so:

“We have something you really have to see. And touch”. The media invitation, shown above  has caused a great deal of rumor construction. Is the home button no longer on the device? Is Siri going to be on this new device? Will the new iPad be called the iPad 3 or iPad HD? Will this new device make coffee and do your email? OK, I made that last one up but I am expecting something big as the iPad is steadily becoming the most important device for Apple and humanity.

The 2 things that I am expecting on this new device is a retina display (as seen on the iPhone 4 and  iPhone 4S) and a more powerful processor. Until Tim Cook officially unveils the device everything is pure speculation which I don’t believe is necessary. The iPad has single handedly created a new industry/ vertical for content owners (newspapers, magazines) and has steadily entrenched itself in the lives of those who are lucky enough to own it.

So Tim, the floor is yours..
