Honor has launched the Magic4 Pro smartphone in South Africa, which marks the first Magic flagship device to launch in the country. If you’re considering a new Android smartphone, then this new variation from Honor is worth considering.
The Honor Magic4 Pro boasts some impressive specs, most notably on its camera set-up, which the company believes differentiates it from many other high-end devices on the market.
Display and design
The device features a 6.81-inch Quad-Curved screen, which wraps over all corners of the frame. Compared with the last generation Magic3 Pro, the frame is much slimmer both up and down for a larger display area. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate, allowing scrolling and browsing to be incredibly smooth.
PriceCheck tip: Having a great pair of Bluetooth headphones can help you enjoy calls and media on your smartphone or tablet, even when on the go.
Performance and specs
The Magic4 Pro includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform: a 4nm 5G SoC processor that delivers a comprehensive upgrade of computing, image processing, and AI performance. Along with the new chipset, the device also includes Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, and runs on Magic UI 6.0 with Google Mobile Services, so you can use the Google Play Store, Google Maps, and other Google features.
Camera
Camera-wise, on the rear, the Magic4 Pro features a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a physical zoom, along with a flicker sensor and dTOF sensor. There is a 12MP front-facing camera and 3D depth camera for facial recognition.
Pricing and availability
The Honor Magic4 Pro will be available from 10 June 2022 and comes in two colours: cyan and black; and is priced at R20,999.
