Whether you’re a console or PC gamer, there is a wealth of exciting game releases heading your way this August. From vehicular chaos to kung-fu amphibians, here are the games you can’t afford to miss in August 2020.
Fast & Furious: Crossroads
Release date: 7 August 2020 (PS4 | Xbox One | PC)
Despite the Fast & Furious franchise dominating the big-screen, the high-octane series has never made a big splash in the video game world, but Fast & Furious: Crossroads hopes to change that. It’s essentially a racing/action game hybrid, which throws you into vehicular combat and racing scenarios inspired by the film series, but will deliver a whole new storyline and moments to gawk at. In addition to the single-player mode, it also has a multiplayer mode to challenge your friends in.
EA Sports UFC 4
Release date: 14 August 2020 ( Xbox One | PC)
If you’ve been itching for some mixed martial arts and over-the-top fight build-ups, EA Sports UFC 4 is on the cards for August, bringing a new Real Player Movement(RPM) system to clinches and takedowns, as well as new ways to inflict some serious ground-and-pound damage and new counter-attacks in order to escape. You can also take the action outside the arenas, with new backyard locations if you feel like you need a little more dust in your punches.

Those who grew up in the 90s will know the name Battletoads, which tested the patience and difficulty tolerance of most young gamers. The side-scrolling beat-’em-up is getting a reboot, and like the original title, the game allows up to three players to play cooperatively as the titular Battletoads, namely Rash, Pimple, and Zitz, each with distinct play-styles, as they punch and kick their way through some zany levels and scenarios.
