While everyone is looking for appliances, summer deals, and gadgets this Black Friday, it’s also the perfect time to hunt down some great gaming deals. Looking at some of the best titles of 2019 and yesteryear, we’ve rounded up the 5 best games worth picking up this Black Friday!
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled
Available on: Xbox One | PS4 | PC | Switch
Anyone who’s a veteran Playstation gamer will be familiar with Crash Team Racing. Well, you can relive the crazy kart racer with Nitro-Fueled. You get the colourful visuals, zany tracks, and competition-levelling power-ups – making it one of the best games in its category. Throw in the ability to play split-screen co-op (something completely overlooked with today’s game), no racing game comes close to Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled‘s fun.
Devil May Cry 5
Available on: PS4 | Xbox One | PC
Devil May Cry 5 manages to deliver style and substance, making it one of the best action games of the year. Bringing one of the smoothest and reactive combat systems around, along with stunning visuals and a surprisingly interesting story that’ll catch fans and newcomers off-guard. Devil May Cry returns in stunning form with its fifth primary entry.
God of War
Available on: PS4
God of War’s 2018 reimagining of Kratos is not just one of the best games on the PS4, but one of the best games period. Brilliant hack-‘n-slash combat mixed with an emotional story treats gamers to an experience worth every second of its long playtime.
Marvel’s Spider-Man
Available on: PS4
Like God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man was one of the best games of 2018 and a must-buy for any Spidey fan. Spider-Man manages to break the bad superhero genre curse admirably, combining the best of past Spidey games’ platforming and world-traversing mechanics with a layered combat system, engaging story, and well-fleshed out narrative. Although there are some minor faults, Spider-Man is the best superhero game since the Arkham series – and hopefully it won’t be the last.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Available on: PS4
While it may initially appear it, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is anything but an expansion/DLC for Uncharted 4. This is a fully-fledged Uncharted game, and not to mention one of the best of the bunch – and that’s saying a lot. Admittedly, there’s no denying that a little something is missing with the absence of series protagonist, Nathan Drake, but the anti-heroines and expanded ideas do confirm that there’s life in the Uncharted series beyond Nathan Drake, full of climbing, gunfights, emotional story beats, and high-octane action.
