The battle for smartphone supremacy has been mostly fought between 2 major companies.
According to a report by Newzoo, based on a sample of 550 million actively used devices across, Apple reigns supreme with a 34.8 percent share of monthly active users across the globe. This might not be much of a surprise to anyone but what is more interesting is the prevalence of Chinese companies in the top 10.
Samsung took the second spot with a total of 23.3% of monthly active users.
Combined, brands such as Huawei, Lenovo and Xiaomi account for 30.2% of actively used devices worldwide, and take 5 out of the top 10 spots on the list.
