A flight from Louisville to Baltimore had to be evacuated at the gate after there where reports of smoke near the plane. What’s even more concerning is that it was a replacement Note 7 which had been deemed safe by Samsung. Brian Green, the owner of the smartphone, stated that he powered down the phone before takeoff when it started smoking.

He then dropped the phone onto the floor where he noticed a “thick grey-green angry smoke” emerging from the device. It isn’t yet certain that the phone malfunctioned for the same reason that previous Note 7s where catching fire, but nonetheless this isn’t good news for Samsung.
