The holiday season is fast approaching, and with it, there will be a host of new games on the market to indulge in. We’ve rounded up some of the biggest releases you’ll be wanting to spend your time with as December rolls around.

God of War: Ragnarok

Release date: 9 November 2022 (PS5 | PS4) — Find the best price for God of War: Ragnarok
One of the biggest games of the year is undoubtedly that of God of War: Ragnarök, the sequel to the 2018 soft-reboot/sequel of the iconic Playstation series. The game picks up after the events of the first game, which saw Kratos and his son Atreus embark on an adventure to fulfil Kratos’ wife’s last wish: to scatter her ashes at the highest peak in the nine realms. Ragnarök then picks up where the father and son duo triggered Ragnarök, the end of the world, meaning that there are going to be some seriously tough battles ahead for the two.

Need for Speed: Unbound

Release date: 2 December 2022 (Xbox Series X/S | PS5 | Xbox One | PS4 | PC) — Find the best price for Need for Speed: Unbound
The Need for Speed franchise is back with Unbound, which is a stylish, reenvisioning for the series, adding in a huge dose of animated style that blends into some gorgeous visuals that the NFS games are known for. Customisation will be key to the experience, allowing you to tune up your car’s looks, performance, and even the graffiti effects generated by your racing. Of course, cops will always play a role in any mainline NFS game, and you’ll have to keep the heat off your back while working your way up the ranks.

The Callisto Protocol

Release date: 2 December 2022 (Xbox Series X/S | PS5 | Xbox One | PS4 | PC)
While the Dead Space remake is on its way, gamers will get another sci-fi horror adventure with The Callisto Protocol, which is actually being developed by Striking Distance Studios, founded by Glen Schofield, who had previously co-created the Dead Space series. The third-person narrative-driven horror is set in 2320 on one of Jupiter’s moons, Callisto. The game revolves around horrific creatures and a conspiracy unfolding on Callisto’s dingy and dangerous Black Iron Prison. Dismemberment and environmental hazards also play a role here, which should make for an interesting (and terrifying) experience.
