Set in the Warhammer 40K universe, Necromunda: Hired Gun will appeal to Doom fans thanks to its fast-paced FPS gunplay and level design. You play as a mercenary who’s been hired to scour the Necromunda for some high-value targets, comprising of outlaws, mutants, and whatever else you’re paid to take out. There are a bunch of weapons (all of which are upgradable) along with a wall-run ability and grappling hook to get players around the massive, industrial environments of the Underhive.

The shamefully overlooked Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is getting a sequel this June, this time set in the desert landscapes of the Middle East. Once again, you play as a mercenary who has to eliminate some valuable targets, either using long-range stealth or going in guns blazing – the choice is yours. The gear has been revamped too, allowing you to customise every aspect of your rifle and loadout, and the visuals have seen a bit beefing-up from Contracts too, with the slow-mo bullet-cam getting some extra gory attention.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

The Ratchet & Clank series’ brilliant 2016 reboot is set for a follow-up with Rift Apart. Playing on the idea of multiple-dimensions, the game will incorporate portals and dimension-jumps into the already-whacky action/platforming gameplay. In addition to the zany levels, weapons, and puzzle-solving the franchise is known for, you’ll also get to play as Ratchet’s interdimensional counterpart, Rivet.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Release date: 10 June 2021 (PS5)
Final Fantasy VII Remake released on PS4 last year, but it is coming to PS5 this June, along with a few enhancements. The PS5 upgrade includes enhanced visuals, a photo mode, and haptic feedback through the DualSense controller. It also includes the option to switch between “Graphics Mode” that prioritises 4K visuals and “Performance Mode” that prioritises 60 frames per second. It includes an upgraded version of the original game, plus a new episode featuring Yuffie.

Scarlet Nexus

Scarlet Nexus is an action-RPG from Bandai Namco which revolves around individuals with psycho-kinetic abilities who have to save the world from deranged mutants that have descended from the sky, highly resistant to conventional attack methods and defences. You have to use your psycho-kinetic powers to turn the world into your weapon: lift, break, and throw pieces of your environment to build your attack combo, form bonds with your team members to access their powers, and enhance your attacks for extreme damage and efficiency.
